The warm afternoon sun lit up the Dusita High School Covered Court as students gathered at exactly 1:00 PM for one of the most anticipated events of the school year the Acquaintance Party 2025, held at Dusita High School in Dusita, Sierra Bullones, Bohol. The event was organized to officially welcome new students to Dusita High School, encourage interaction among grade levels, and promote a strong sense of unity within the school. What made the event even more special was the active participation of DHS teachers, who joined in alongside their students.
The celebration began formally with the singing of the National Anthem, followed by the Provincial Anthem and the Sierra Bullones Hymn, setting a respectful and patriotic tone for the event. Immediately after, the crowd was energized by an outstanding opening performance from the Liwanag Performing Arts Troupe, which drew loud cheers and set the mood for the rest of the day. Excitement grew even more as the strong and proud students of each grade level confidently showcased their unique songs and yells, impressing everyone with their creativity and team spirit.
Shortly after, inspiring speeches were delivered. The event became even more meaningful by the presence of Mr. Felix Galacio Jr., Education Program Supervisor in Mathematics in the Division of Bohol, who gave an aspiring and heartfelt message in front of the students. Representatives from each grade level then took the stage for individual performances, showing their talents in dancing. To end the event on a high note, the DHS teachers joined in a lively singing session, accompanied by the school’s band, creating a heartwarming moment of fun and togetherness between teachers and students.
Following this, a special announcement was made by a member of the Liwanag Performing Arts Troupe, who shared her exciting news about joining a singing contest under “Tawag ng Tanghalan,” proudly representing Dusita High School. She encouraged her fellow students to support her journey, and then wowed the crowd with a powerful performance of “Nosi Balasi,” drawing cheers and admiration from the audience. It was a proud moment for DHS and a perfect way to close the program before the final closing remarks were delivered. As students and teachers headed home, one thing was certain everyone left with full hearts and bright smiles.
